Como Juan sabe bien, hace poco tiempo que nos conocemos, más desde el primer momento, desde la primera fotografía que le vi, sabía bien que estaba contemplando la labor de un artista. Hay una frase que oí alguna vez de una fotógrafa muy famosa que decía; "si la fotografía no cuenta una historia, es una fotografía que no vale nada". Totalmente de acuerdo, pienso yo, más utilizo esta frase precisamente, pues creo que es la que mejor define las fotografías de Juan. Haciendo a un lado la técnica, la cual tiene sobradamente, lo importante de sus fotografías es que captan, congelan, fijan el instante de una historia. Por así decirlo, las fotos de Juan son un fotogramas de una película, pero no cualquier fotograma, sino el más importante, el más significativo. Es por estas razones que desde la primera foto he seguido la trayectoria de Juan, porque cuanta historias, porque cautiva con sus fotos, y porque cada una de ellas, es una clase de fotografía.
