I was born in a different era, as you can well detect by yourselves just by looking carefully into my photos.
And now a warning to possible viewers:
I have arrived at a certain time in life to find myself having accumulated dozen and dozen and dozen of boxes of colour slides (Agfa, Ektacrome, etc.) taken at different times, on different occasions and in different parts of the world where I happened to live or to travel through. That because I always liked taking pictures and to show them to others, especially to people I lived with.
As you well know, however, showing slides to interested friends and admiring relations is quite a business: you must start by making arrangements to gather various viewers at their convenience, giving them first something to drink and/or to eat, then sit them comfortably in the dark, take out and set rightly the projector together with the various boxes of slides already selected the day before, start showing them in a nor-too-quick-neither-too-slow sequence, explain all the detail in each photos, one by one, while keeping an eye for the first signs of boredom and/or sleeepness. And so on, and so on.... It is something quite complicated, sometimes exhausting, to do only once in a while. Recently I found less and less personal enthusiasm in organizing such sessions. And even less and less people as volonteer viewers.
Now I found it much easier to start putting my pictures, old and new, on Flickr and allow everyone to go through them at his/her own leisure. So, many of my friends are finally able to watch again some old photos they had seen only once, long time ago, in a nearly forgotten session at my place.
The pictures I put regularly on Flickr, as a consequence, are not sophisticated, technically perfect, aesthetically flowless photographs, like the ones so often proudly displayed by so many good Flickerists. Mine are only the usual set of entertaining, sometimes situational or even anecdotal pictures used to be shown to willing friends and obliging acquaintances, generally projected on a empty section of the wall: nothing particularly lofty or of exceptional quality, therefore. Just pictures. Just for our own fun.
Moreover, because most of them have been scanned from old slides, often they can appear slightly blurred, a little out of focus, or somewhat sloppily rendered. To tell the truth, I have always been a rather sloppy photograper and I do not feel to apologize for that. Also I don’t aspire to excellence and plause. I just show what I like - or what my friends like - to see.
If you like it too, you are welcomed. Even to comment, should you feel the urge (but not just to say “very good”, “fantastic” and the likes. Try to be a bit more critical, please. And if you do not know what exactly to say, just click the little star above the picture and you will make me happy).
In case you don’t like my photos, just move on. There are millions of much better, fully elaborated, extraordinary pictures waiting for you in Flickr. Good luck.

Here below Flickr says that I'm MALE and SINGLE.
I'm not so sure of either, however.
I'm living just with a shy and sweet blond bitch and with an aggressive but beautiful mixed-race youngster, actually .

TRIPELEFF is too modest. His way of seeing the world is very human and natural. The images are not contrived, yet are artistic and beautifully balanced at the same time. This is always the mark of a good artist, one who creates an image, yet the image feels effortless in some way. In his images there always seems to be a harmonious balance between humans and nature, and humans often seem to be small creatures in an expanse of great beauty, silence and serenity. Often, usually, his people are ordinary beings going about their ordinary work, yet they always have a great dignity and beauty, especially amidst the world they exist in. And that world is always particularly interesting, as it often comes from the past as TRIPELEFF points out. He has collected so many images from the past and from his travels, it is a treasure for all younger people who may not be familiar with the cultures, styles of dress etc. I have seen a lot of work on Flickr, and so much of it tries to impress with slick and cool technical skill, or increasingly bizarre subjects to try and get attention. For me this type of work has faded in interest as it is ironically so common, yet I find TRIPELEFF's work refreshing because of its honest integrity and simple earthiness. Also his work is not so simple in reality, it is very skillfully composed, either on purpose or by his unconscious I don't know, but the work shows a harmony that is not random. He shows us that real interest and beauty in the world can be found in people and nature, and the latest camera, digital effects and styles are not needed for this, but a mature and explorative mind.
