I'm also a Milky Way night sky photographer and conduct MW night sky workshops during my 3 day Jackson Hole photo shoot adventures. Additionally, I'm also involved in daytime and night time Milky Way time lapse work.

Arches National Park - A Photographer's Site Shooting Guide I

This ebook is strictly about great places to photograph in the Moab, Utah from iconic mesas, arches, goose-necks, sunrise and sunsets both for day time and night sky / Milky Way photography. The reader is taken from Professor Valley east of Moab to Arches National Park, Canyonlands, House on Fire and Monument Valley. Google satellite map markers are used with each photo to help find each location.

2019 Jackson Hole 4 day spring wildflower and Milky Way night sky photo shoot adventure workshops

In 2019 I'm leading a four day sunrise to sunset Teton mountain wildflower photo shoot adventures throughout Jackson Hole, WY (USA). The spring 4 day photo shoot adventures will be June 6-10.

Unlike any other multi-day photo tour / workshop, mine will include one to two nights where I will take the group to different locations to shoot the Milky Way in the night sky throughout various locations in the valley north of town.

I will take the group through all the steps to set up their camera settings to maximize capturing the stars and the Milky Way.

With either one of these two early Teton spring photo shoot adventures, you'll have time to return home with a ton of excellent Teton photos and wow family and friends.

I have a multi-page pdf info document with everything one needs to know if they're interested in joining me for one of my 2016 three day sunrise to sunset photo shoot adventures and Milky Way night sky workshops. To receive this info document, email me at my Yahoo address below.

It has the well known must shoot sites and many off the beaten path sites many are not aware of like several overlooks of the valley from the eastern mountains, to rivers and streams, all with the Tetons as the backdrop.

I just had the pleasure of a 3 day photo workshop in the Tetons with Jerry and wanted to comment on that as a testimonial. First of all the Tetons are one of my favorite places in the world and I have been there many times. So I was surprised to have Jerry take us to so many off-the-beaten-track locations that were new to me. He was enthusiastic about sharing these special places, as well as sharing his knowledge of how to capture the scene -- pointing out different angles and composition possibilities. He helped us to better undersand our cameras and what we could do using exposure control, bracketing -- even sharing his Lee Big Stopper for long exposures using his remote switch. And most useful to me, he helped simplify the evaluation and interpretation of histograms. During lunch, Jerry got out his lap top and showed us various software we could ue for post production and methods to combine multiple bracekted photos. This was my first time to be on a photo inclusive trip (well, we did share some great meals and wine too!) and I loved it, met some very nice people with the same passion of place and photography -- and I learned a ton. Oh, and did I mention that he picked us up at 4:30 in the morning??

Just recently I went to Jackson Hole Wyoming and met up with Jerry for a three day photographic tour of the area. Well it was not just a tour, it was a lot of lessons in photography and he worked very hard at getting me to so many beautiful locations I couldn't believe it. Just to put it plain and simple, it was a trip of a lifetime for me. Even though I was recovering from a back injury, and the trip was painful at times, I had one of the best times in my life doing a new passion. Jerry taught me how to read my histogram properly, how to use the Lee Big Stopper filter in broad daylight to smooth out choppy water and get streaking clouds, also how to blend photos together using bracketing method, just to name a few. I learned just as much in three days about landscape photography with him, as I did in the last 7 months by myself reading up on things and going out 2 or 3 weekends a month. His knowledge of the area is extremely in depth and knows how to make the most of his photography with or without clouds. His passion for that area is huge and you can tell when you are around an expert, a novice or beginner. Jerry is definitely an expert in the upper end of it. Mario Marez
