I count it as one of the most serendipitous moments I have ever had on the internet when, searching for drawings by Georges Seurat, I came across "Walking off the Big Apple". It is everything a good site should be (if you are a fairly normal person): Clear, concise yet complex in the sense that there is a lot going on. It turns from great issues (recently a notably sane and humane photo essay on the problems of Wall Street) to the essential trivia of a wonderful mind – Pepys and Poust are like this. And always the deft feeling for place which is Tyne's view of New York. It is a well to which I return for sustenance again and a again.
