Other account: Digitx

I've been shooting pictures every since I was given a kodak instamatic for Christmas back in 1972 (here's to those of us who remember flash cubes, and flash extenders). I have fond memories of that camera, I think learning to be patient and make sure everything I wanted in the picture was in that little square box in the view finder helped me a lot with all my other cameras throughout the year.

I've recently switched to digital after a lifetime of film. Even though I think digital has a little ways to go, I've found it a very freeing experience. Not having to worry about developing expense has been liberating. Previously the only time I took a lot of pictures was on my annual vacations.

I like shooting nature; flora and fauna. Kids are another favorite subject, though having none of my own, I don't get to focus on them as much as I would like.

My goal is always to get better. I love capturing a moment in time, and picking up tricks and techniques to perfect that goal is always my intent.

My other flickr account, Digitx, is where I store some of my photos from particular events. Right now, there are photos from the Gay Rodeo event in DC from September '07, my 30th high school reunion and the 50th birthday party of my best friend Michael.
