Welcome to my photo-world. It is here because it somewhat identifies who I am.

As one can see, I am passionate about history and, in particular, World War II. Please do not misunderstand; I, in know way, promote or glorify warfare, killing, or hatred. I do, however, believe strongly that our society needs to remember the sacrifices of those who suffered such horrors that we might live lives of peace and luxury.

I am particularly interested in the role of the U.S. Army during the Pacific conflict. I have nothing against the Navy or the Marines. I just feel that the Army's role was vital and has been downplayed to relative insignificance. My icon is the symbol for American Forces in the Western Pacific (AFWESPAC).

You will also see that I appreciate and respect firearms. I am not a violent person at all. I am just fascinated by the way firearms work, and I am a strong supporter of the Second Amendment.

You may also note that I like pictures of animals and have no objection to a TASTEFUL photo of a beautiful girl. I really enjoy photography, even though I am not particularly good at it.

I have a degree in history, political science, economics, geography, and education, and am an educator. Life has thrown some vicious curve balls, and I am dealing with that the best I can.

I do NOT claim to be an expert on ANYTHING. In fact, I may be the least intelligent person in the world. Be that as it may, I hope you will appreciate some of my photographs.

I RECENTLY HAD A CONFRONTATION WITH A COUPLE OF FLICKR MEMBERS. ACTUALLY, THE CONFRONTATION WAS ME GETTING CALLED SOME HATEFUL AND HURTFUL NAMES SIMPLY BECAUSE I DID NOT HAVE THE SAME POLITICAL VIEWS. I TRIED TO BE CIVIL BUT WAS ATTACKED AGAIN AND AGAIN BY SOMEONE CLAIMING TO BE AN "OPEN-MINDED" LIBERAL.

PLEASE DO NOT ADDRESS ME ABOUT ISSUES OF POLITICS OR RELIGION. FLICKR IS NOT THE PLACE FOR THAT, AND IT CERTAINLY IS NOT THE PLACE FOR FOUL, ABUSIVE LANGUAGE.
