It is easy to add your World Migratory Bird Day Photos, Event Reports and Information about your organization to the WMBD Flickr Account!
Just follow the easy steps below:
1.Make a new email to aged02points@photos.flickr.com
2.For the “Subject” of the Email, write the name of your country, the name of your organization, the name of your World Migratory Bird Day event and the credit for the Photographer (if needed).
3.The “Subject” of the email will become the title of the photograph and will tell people where you are!
4.Attach our World Migratory Bird Day event photos to your Email, as .JPG files.
5.Add your event report as text, links and paragraphs in the body of the email as shown above!
6.Feel free to include in the email body information about your World Migratory Bird Day 2012 events, introduce and tell us about your organization as well as tell us about other interesting projects your organization is doing!
7.The body of the email will become the description for all the photos that are attached to the email!
8.If you want, you can send more than one email, with different emails attached each time. That way you can give different names to different groups of photos (you may need to send more than one group anyway due to your email size restrictions). Feel free to send all your photos together in one email, or send as many as you would like with different “Subjects”.
9.Press send, and check out your photos (They might take a few hours to appear), event descriptions and organization descriptions on the World Migratory Bird Day Flickr Account!
What is World Migratory Bird Day?
www.worldmigratorybirdday.org is a global, annual awareness campaign to promote the conservation of migratory birds and their habitats worldwide. It is organized by the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals
(CMS) and the African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbird Agreement (AEWA) – two international wildlife treaties administered by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)
World Migratory Bird Day strives towards preserving the cultural ties we have with migratory birds and the vital economic and environmental benefits they sustain. It is important to ensure these cultural, economic and environmental bonds are conserved for future generations.
Join others around the world and take part in World Migratory Bird Day on the second weekend in May each year, by organizing bird-watching events, educational programmes, lectures, art exhibitions and other public events. However you decide to participate, your contribution will help make this campaign a success!
Please share your activities with us and others around the world by registering your event on the WMBD website:
