The World Literacy Foundation is an independent not-for-profit charitable body founded in Australia in 2003. We believe that all individuals, particularly those in the poorest countries of the world, should have the same education opportunities we take for granted in the developed world. Higher literacy levels enable people to overcome the barriers of poverty, disease and allow them to engage in employment which leads to future opportunities.
