I used to take lots of photos but then work and family plus other hobbies displaced photography and only recently returned mainly as a result of becoming the team photographer for my son's rugby team. He plays for Rochdale which is a town north-east of Manchester. Probably the most famous person to come from here is Gracie Fields though you would have to be quite old to recognise that name these days I guess?

I don't have a particular genre apart from rugby and tend to dabble in lots of areas equally badly. I starting playing with GIMP (which is amazing for a free piece of software) but find now I don't have enough time for that so tend to do only simple processing in Lightroom which is great for getting through the 2-300 shots I take each game. I do like B&W and partial colour in B&W images.

I love the outdoors and would love to develop some skill in that area and I also like taking photos of family and friends.
