Getting old!

Born and bred in the late 50's in Rawtenstall, Lancashire.

Moved away to go to Poly at the start of the 80's then lived and worked in and around Coventry for over 20 years as a graphic designer/artist/photographer, moving to Scarborough on the North Yorkshire coast over a decade ago - don't bother with the design side of things as much these days after redundancy forced a change of lifestyle but concentrate on my photography - and still do a bit of painting now and again.

Started taking photos (rather than snaps) at 17 with my first 35mm camera - a Zorki 4K - then progressed through Practika and Nikon before becoming a long-time Canon user with the then-new Canon AE1, moving up to the A1 and EOS100 before going digital - currently with 300D, 20D, 40D, 7D and S90, all still in use with a handful of Sigma lenses.
