Wipe Out Kids’ Cancer (WOKC) is a Dallas/Fort Worth based non-profit organization founded in 1980 dedicated to eradicating pediatric cancer by funding innovative research, education and treatment, while providing hope to children affected with cancer. WOKC is currently funding 4 pediatric cancer research trials at 5 hospitals through partnerships with Children’s Medical Center Dallas and Cook Children’s Medical Center Ft. Worth. The WOKC Ambassador and Buddy Bag programs provide hope and support to local pediatric cancer patients and their families during treatment. The Young Heroes Scholarship program, funded by Texas Ranger Michael Young and Cristina Barbosa-Young, provides scholarships on a national basis to pediatric cancer survivors attending college.
