My cameras are mostly Canons, an EOS 6D, EOS M and EOS 1000D. I mostly shoot in manual mode and process raw files with Lightroom.

I enjoy HDR photography using Photomatix and Luminance. I use Hugin for panoramas. Most of my photos are edited in GIMP and being a geology teacher, I take a lot of photographs containing rocks.

Although I acknowledge the limitations of my abilities and equipment, I am amazed at the possibilities presented by even my bottom of the range SLR.

A few years ago, I spent a lot of my spare time creating 360x180 degree panoramas and panospheres using Hugin, but I have not developed that interest and the technology has moved on with 360 degree cameras and video, so I feel a bit out of date now. If you want to understand my workflow, you might enjoy reading the description I have written. Alternatively, if you have enjoyed my Flickr photostream, you might like to also take a look at my panoramas on www.360cities.net/profile/wmvanstone. Most of the panoramas are the same as on Flickr, but the resolution is higher and the immersive viewer is brilliant on an apple device, as it uses the accelerometer and you can navigate through the panorama by turning your body / iPod.
