Calling all photographers!

 

And so ends Worcester Music Festival 2011... We hope you all had a great time, and we'd like to see what you got up to!

 

We've set up a Flickr account for your photographs. Anyone can upload photos of anything WMF related - bands, crowd shots, workshops.

 

Please add a meaningful name to each photo - for example, bandname_venue_date. You can also add your name if you wish, or create a set containing your photo. There is no limit on the number of photos you can upload, but please only upload your better shots!

 

If you've taken a shot you are really proud of, you might like to enter this year's photo competition.

   

PHOTO COMPETITION

 

We will be running our popular photo competition again this year which is open to everyone. Last year saw 25 finalists chosen from over 1,400 of entries and was judged by Lauren Rogers from Worcester Evening News.

 

This year's judges will include previous winners Joseph Singh, Mark Hoy and Steve Johnston. Due to the sheer volume of entries we get, the rules will change slightly this year and we are asking photographers to submit their top 10 photos for consideration. The 25 finalists will see their work displayed at Worcester Arts Workshop during October. The prize this year for the winner will be a framed print of their shot and a £35 voucher towards a meal for two courtesy of Puccini's Restaurant in Worcester.

 

To enter the competition:

 

1) Go to www.flickr.com and click Sign In. Choose to sign in with Google account using the email address photocomp2011@worcestermusicfestival.co.uk and password WMFPhotocomp2011

 

2) Upload a maximum of 10 photos.

 

3) Please name each photo as follows: yourname_bandname_venue_date. You can create a set containing your photos if you wish.

 

4) Email photocomp2011@worcestermusicfestival.co.uk with your contact details.

 

5) You must be able to provide a high resolution, print quality image in case you are a finalist

 

CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES IS SUNDAY 11th SEPTEMBER.

Competition guidelines

 

The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into. If you upload more than the maximum number of images, additional images will be deleted. We reserve the right to replace finalists if you are unable to provide a high resolution image for print. We reserve the right to change the prize for the competition if, for any reason, the published prize becomes unavailable.
