A retired physicist from the Santa Cruz Institute for Particle Physics, an organized research unit in the University of California, Santa Cruz, William Lockman pursues amateur astronomy (visual, astro-photography and outreach). He is a board member of the San Mateo County Astronomical Society and acts as the liaison with the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. He is also and active member of the Peninsula Astronomical Society (PASTRO) and the Santa Cruz Astronomy Club (SCAC). He enjoys both visual astronomy, astro-photography and astronomy outreach.
