Welcome!

I was born in Boston and I am drawn to the activity and excitement of urban areas. I was fortunate enough to grow up in an artistic family - both of my parents painted. My father was trained as a photographer and over the years, taught me quite a few things about the use of light, composition, and the art of seeing.

I love to travel and have a passion for the architectural history, tradition, and beauty of European cities. The subject matter of my art varies enormously but the goal is consistent; to enable the viewer to feel the emotion in the image whether it be humor, sorrow, joy, serenity, or excitement.

I find the immediacy of a photo opportunity exciting and rarely duplicated. Each photo is a single unique point in time that may never avail itself again.

As most of my images are captured outside, I shoot - With Available Light.
