I first ran across Winnu's photos while surfing on Explore and quickly marked him as a contact to more easily follow his photo stream. He consistently posts excellent shots, most notably of birds. A month or two ago he announced the acquisition of a 400mm lens and, apparently, it was what was needed to launch his photographic talents to an even more remarkable level. Since then his portraits of birds have made a quantum leap - from an already high standard. Even among the many gifted photographers to be found on Flickr, I feel he stands out - his work invariably shows sharp focus, exquisite detail, expressiveness,an eye for composition and impeccable timing with the shutter. His pictures are an inspiration to me and I look forward to many years of enjoying his posts.
