Daniel was a former US business magazine editorial staff and had worked for years in the financial industry.

He loves wines and its people, and often writes about wines for 酒 Jiuwine.com, a web magazine with obsessive coverage and review of everything new in wine and trends targeted at today’s Chinese wine consumers and drinkers.

Three alphabets describe his taste in wine - BEF - Balance & Body, Elegance & Enjoyment, Finish and Finesse.

Daniel prefers wines which are food-friendly with Asian, particularly Chinese cuisine, elegant and enjoyable wines to jammy, over-extracted fruit bombs with high alcohol, and heavy handed oak.

When reviewing, Daniel tastes the wine twice, alone after decanting or opening, with food (if permissible), and again after an hour in the glass - believing a few minutes review are unrealistic, and this is not how the average person should enjoy wine and rely on such reviews.
