A lot of my pictures on Flickr (thus far) have been taken on my camera phone. Originally a Nokia 7650 (VGA), then a Nokia 6260 (also VGA), then a Nokia N70 (2mp), then a Nokia N73 (3mp), now I shoot with a Nokia N95 (5mp!!). Whilst I love my SLR (a Pentax *ist DL2) and compact digital (Canon A710 IS) I love the immediacy of picture phones. Somehow the pictures are more disposable. In the same way perhaps people love Lomography I love 'Nokiography', - which I guess makes me a Nokiographer?

The beauty of camera phones is the ability to capture the moment in times when you wouldn't ordinarily carry a proper camera. My latest camera phone now has a greater resolution than my first ever digital camera (Sony DSC-P1) and it's half the size and a fraction of the cost, technology moves fast!

When I'm not messing about with camera phones I'm a User Experience designer working in London. I'm a snowboarder, I run (occasionally), during the summer I try to fit in a bit of windsurfing and I've just learnt to Kitesurf (sort of). In 2005 I completed my MSc and created a project entitled 'The Virtual Teleportr'. I also like to travel and see the world. A lot of my most recent images are from trips away, I still have quite a few old photos from travelling that pre-date the digital revolution.

Like most people having discovered Flickr it's totally consumed me. Flickr is now my online photo album, everything I've done and I do is uploaded here. It's fantastic to have all these memories on tap. I also love to follow my interests and see what life is like on the other side of the planet for people who like what I like or do what I do.

Chances are if I've added you as a contact, it's because either your stuff is cool or it's nice to see life in another country - or both! That and I'm sure at the end of some hyperlink somewhere is Kevin Bacon's Flickr page.

How Will finds the time to do everything he does, and so well, is beyond me. He's the reason I picked up a camera and he always takes the time to comment on my pictures, which is much appreciated. I love the way he makes the most mundane of subjects come alive and I find I learn something everytime he loads a picture… Read more

I love the way he makes the most mundane of subjects come alive and I find I learn something everytime he loads a picture. He's not a bad snowboarder too, but I'd never tell him that or he'd get too big-headed!!!
