I am a designer and educator. I was born in Aspen and have lived in Durango (loved it); Boulder (was a kid so don't remember much); Leadville (10,000+ ft above sea level); Seattle (I heart the Emerald City!); DC (mmmm, not so much); and now Baltimore (it's growing on me....).
An alumni of the University of Washington's design MFA program and former guest faculty at MICA, I am an assistant design professor at the University of Maryland. My research involves designing for disability and the aesthetics and beauty of interaction design. I also write about design + technology for NPR.
I love dogs, chocolate, all things European, Guinness with Lambic, Belgian beer, the "F" word, experimental films and beautiful cinematography, and riding my fixed-gear bicycle.
I shoot with a Holga, digital and analog Canon, my iPhone via 3-4 favorite apps, and my husband's Super 8.
