As a fourth generation San Francisco Bay Area guy, my passion is photographing wildlife. I concentrate on birds, but anything I come across and am lucky enough to capture is here. As a former teacher, principal and district administrator, learning and sharing come naturally. My inspiration comes from other photographers who join and encourage me, but also from poetry which often takes its symbols and metaphors from our natural world. I now live in Carlsbad, CA close to the beach and the ocean which soothes me. Recently remarried to a wonderful woman, Kathy Wall Panatone.
