Peter Smart, Wildlife Photographer and Tour Leader

Peter Smart has been a keen and successful photographer all his life and enjoys travelling around the world, with a particular affinity for Africa. He turned professional in 2002 to pursue his passion for capturing images of wildlife and the natural world.

Peter works with a number of travel companies providing escorted wildlife photographic tours around the world. He also provides photographic guidance on many workshops and tours in the UK, offers one-to-one tuition and lectures to camera clubs and other organisations.

He escorts around ten tours each year to a variety of destinations including Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana, Zambia, Namibia, Rwanda, India, Sri Lanka, Borneo, the Komodo Islands, Spitsbergen, Brazil and the Galapagos Islands.

Peter regards it as a genuine privilege to introduce people to the wildlife, landscapes and people of the countries he visits. His knowledge, organisational skills and sense of fun ensures that not only do his groups have excellent photographic and game-viewing opportunities, but also have an enjoyable holiday!
