I am a girl who has found a love for photography and birds.

From a baby to now, a camera has always been in my face to being in my hands. I always blamed my love of photography on my dad because he took photography in high school and kept his old film cameras. I used to dislike my mom taking countless photos, but have learned to appreciate the fun memories that a photograph brings.

Photography, to me at a point and time, was merely just a hobby to keep me busy. I did not what it to become something serious or a "future job" -- my dreams were a bit elsewhere. I had my fair share of good and bad photos, but like I said, I saw it just as a hobby.

When my younger sister started taking photography classes at our local college, I have to admit that I was bit curious. As of last fall semester, I have worked in a darkroom, digital, and soon color photography.

My goal now, is to travel to a little island off of New Zealand called Codfish Island. On that island, is a very endangered parrot called the Kakapo. It is one of my dreams to see them in the wild and photograph such unique and beautiful birds!
