Pat has been a highly valued contact of mine since I first started on Flickr. Anyone who knows his work understands that his knowledge of waterfowl and shorebirds is second to none. I have learned so much about shorebirds by viewing his diverse and technically excellent shots. His marine mammal photos and seascapes create a sense of wonder. But Pat does not just shoot the bird. I am continually amazed at his ability to capture his subjects in their environment in the most artistic and pleasing way. Pat has such a good eye for composition that his waterfowl shots especially are so much more than just another bird shot. Thanks for everything Pat.
