Lara Matthews first began dabbling with portraiture and photographic-art, emphasizing digital manipulation techniques in her imaging. She made her way to capturing natural landscapes by photographing in the South, Midwest, Southwest and Pacific Northwest. Lara has an educational background with Oregon State University. She is a member of the Muscogee Creek Nation of Oklahoma and mother of a precious daughter named Charlotte. Lara is an impassioned environmental activist who can be found wandering in old growth forests or slick rock deserts with her camera. Lara merges words in the form of prose to explain her experiences in the wild. She also has contributed to books, created ebooks, and written and published photography articles. She has won awards for her images and constantly seeks new opportunities to share her visions with a larger audience.

Greg Jacobs started his photographic journey on the Northern California coastlines, working his way through the Southwest and Pacific Northwest chasing the light. He has an educational background with Oregon State University in Forest Engineering, Fire Science, Natural Resources and Forest Ecology. Greg is an avid hiker who dreams of finding new trails to walk and spectacular landscapes to explore. He is passionate about protecting our wild lands. Greg enjoys chronicling his photography quest with words. He is a sense of place writer and spends hours researching the natural histories of most places he visits.

In 2010, Lara and Greg began photographing together as a team in the canyons of Utah and in the Sierra Mountains of Nevada and California. They eventually relocated to Southern and then Central Oregon to continue their pursuit of the perfect image. After studying the light in Southern and Central Oregon, Lara and Greg moved to Washington state and spent time in Seattle and on the Olympic Peninsula. In 2014 they returned to the Southwest in search of more adventures and light. They are currently residing in Las Vegas.

Photography is the key element in each photographer's universe of expression. The unification of artistic, written, and photographic abilities empowers each photographer's creativity, thus opening up endless possibilities of imaging expression. Lara and Greg fuse artistic visions in their photography in order to present dynamic and unique perspectives of the natural world to their audiences. Each photographers' distinct style displays natural and surreal atmospheres in order to bring a greater sense of emancipated enjoyment combined with an appreciation of the natural environment to those with whom they are able to share their work.
