Photography Biography of WS

WS journey as an avid macro photographer began in 2007. Since then, photography has become a part of his life – a passion he has found joy in. As a macro-photographer, he is fascinated by the details of the insects that he photographs. His passion and ability in macro photography enabled him to emerge as the Photo Competition Winner for Magazine BRIDGE 2011 from PA South West CDC (“Going Out in Love”). Additionally, he has contributed photos for Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserved’s 15th anniversary Macro Photos Exhibition in 2008. In 2012, he held a mini-macro photo exhibition in Pioneer Junior College to encourage students to pick up the art of macro photography.

Other than macro photography, WS has also won the 1st Prize in MOE Excel Fest Photo Contest 2014 (“Singapore Heartbeat”) and earned a Special Mention Prize for MOE Excel Fest Photo Contest MOE 2014 (“Lifelong Learning”).

In 2011, his photo was featured in NDP 2011 windows network display, bus stop panel & posters. He was one of the five finalists for Canon’s The New Perspectives Photography Challenge in 2010, where he was selected out of hundreds applicants. Wesley was also the Winner for Canon’s Navy@Vivo Photo Contest! in 2014.
