I was a Nikon guy for most of my photographic life. Then, in 2015 I sold my last Nikon DSLR and switched to Sony. Why? My shooting habits changed. I needed smaller cameras that I could carry along all the time. Plus, Sony seemed to have the innovative edge - they just make cameras now that have all the right bells and whistles for me. But, I still have some of my old Nikon lenses, which I will NEVER part from. Those old glasses from 40 years or so ago just do the job still today - and it is fun to focus manually once in a while and observe the shocked look on the faces of the smartphone shutterbugs ... :)
