Not only is Jørn a photographer whose beautifully observed and composed work I admire -- he has also become a generous and valued commentator and critic, often adding the gift of a haiku. In his pictures, he has an eye for the small yet important things in life -- the blade of grass surviving in a city street, the autumn leaves falling on blue plastic pipes, the small flowers growing by a house wall -- and he also endows family photographs with life and warmth.
