I have been lucky enough to have travelled widely throughout the world to some very remote and beautiful places. Photography has enabled me to capture and relive some privileged encounters with people, places and wildlife. As a former teacher, being able to use these images to inform and educate has been invaluable. I have been drawn back to the wonders of Scotland many times. The majesty of The Cairngorms, the wide expanses of the Hebridean coasts, dramatic sea cliffs, ever changing light on land and sea and the wild beauty of the remote northern islands of Shetland. Capturing the diverse wildlife and beauty of our planet is a challenge, and photography has made me look, listen and marvel at the wonder of our world.
