After living 22 grey and fruitless years around the corn fields of Ohio, Shawn enlisted into the Marine Corps as a Combat Photographer. Stationed in Southern California he eventually deployed to seven countries where the struggles of global individuals were no longer seen on a television screen. These memories have had a lasting impact on him. The desire to share these struggles with the world has combined with his passion for filmmaking. He is currently studying at New York University in the Graduate Film Department.
