The Wells Reserve at Laudholm is a national treasure on the southwest coast of Maine.

As a National Estuarine Research Reserve, we investigate coastal systems, share what we learn, and assist communities in protecting land and water resources.

As a National Historic Site, we protect a campus of farm buildings on a site with a written history spanning nearly four centuries.

Seven miles of trails through a variety of coastal habitats provide access to incredible photographic opportunities. The site is open to the public throughout the year from 7 am to sunset.

Our work is made possible through the generosity of Laudholm Trust members and support from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
