In addition to the red states above, I also went just a few yards across the border into North Dakota once at Lemmon, SD (in 1984), and maybe a mile across the border into Illinois once from St. Louis, MO (in 1974). Neither visit was significant enough to count, so I shall not count them.

Also, when I was four months old, my mother and I returned from Germany (where I was born). I know our plane landed in New York City for a while and maybe somewhere else between there and her hometown of Lebanon, MO, but it really would be unfair to count those visits too.

Notice how all of my visited states are contiguous. That's because I don't fly. ;-) I didn't have any say-so in the flight back from Germany, so that is the only passenger airliner flight I have ever taken. I also rode in a tiny private plane for a 20-minute aerial tour of Lyman County, SD, in the early 1970s.
