I'm a retired university professor (ecologist) with an interest in photography as a way to explore the natural world from an aesthetic approach, complementing my past profession. My favorite subjects are the desert landscapes of the Colorado Plateau, mountains, particularly the southern Rocky Mountains, Iceland, as well as the subtle patterns in the components that make up the environment, including plants, animals, landforms, sky, weather, and water.
