I broke my neck in a climbing accident in Alaska in 1979, and have been a quadriplegic since. While being paralyzed from the neck down, mine was what I call "a break of fortune" - a C5-C6 Spinal Cord Injury - which allows me to flex my wrists, hold a fork, a paintbrush and pen, and to type.
