Mac has so many great testimonials, I'm loath to add any of my own inarticulate words. But I must say how much I look forward to the warmth and humanity of his photos. That's what looking at his pictures does - give off warmth and humanity. 'Letting a person be themself, not the person they want to be ... 'etc. Now that's a distinction I've never seen or heard before! I've found it almost impossible to get people to do that. And I admire that he's a defence lawyer!

it's late afternoon somewhere in the southwest of France, i'm not syruping any French roast coffee ;-) but my eye has just been caught by Mack's new post on flickr. Yay! Mack loves people and that shows in his soulful portraits. He is a wonderful dad and it shows on the moving, funny, amazing photographies he does of his two beautiful daughters. I love the stories he tells about hers too.The day they will be all grown-up and mothers, both photographs and stories will mean a world to them. Mack loves nature and that shows in his marvelous color pinholes.. we mostly see black and white pinholes around and his work makes us wonder why??? Anyway i wanted to say that and other things for a long time but i'm lazy and not very fond of writing testimonials, particularly in English .. i prefer to leave words for others to play with... something Mack does brilliantly too.. thank you for sharing a bit of your world with us Mack. Wayne's photography runs so much deeper than that - he seems to see down to very soul of a scene. His photography emphasizes and brings to attention the very essence of each and every subject. Wayne finds the 'truth' in each landscape or person - and that truth is always so very beautiful. His vision reaches far, wide, deep. There are no facades to his images. They are true; as a poet shapes a poem into truth with just the right words, so Wayne can shape his ideas and images into a photograph that is alive and vibrant.

I feel that Wyne (or Mackeson, Mack, Mackesito...: all gods have multiple names) is more than one of my best friends of Flickr's comunnity. It was that way from the very first time I saw one of his deep and vivid portraits. Sometimes I even could swear I know Mack from the golden days when we were dirty boys with gasoline in our veins and a whole world in the eyes. I say it because Wyne and me, like Elvis, Huck and both of us, were friends from childhood... When he writes about his life under one of that moving old photos from the years of ice cream & dreams, I forget his voice and hear mine, ours... He is good person, a great fisherman, an excellent rock and roll listener and, last but not least, one of the best photographers I know all around here... But Mack is especially the soft voice and the good memory I need.

Here are superb black-and-white portraits that express volumes, haunting pinhole landscapes, timeless 'old school' photojournalism and travel photography, and a collection of superb images from the past which bring to life the history of the last fifty or sixty years. His commentary is always thought-provoking and complements the images perfectly. Wayne's photostream is always an eye-opener.
