My name is L. Wayne Hancock. I'm a simple man originally born in the hills of Kentucky. Since February 1996, my calling has been to reside, work, and play in Maui, Hawaii. In addition to spending fun times with my beautiful wife and adorable daughter, photography is my passionate outlet in this crazy world in which we all live.

For me, it's difficult to say that I specifically photograph portraits or landscapes. Instead, I endeavor to capture how a person or scene makes my heart feel at a particular moment (regardless of whatever happens to be in front of my lens.) What I really capture in my images are feelings. Yes, I photograph feelings. Seems kind of weird at first, but it's true just the same. This is the best way that I can describe my personal approach to the art of photography.
