Looking at Sheryl/WOM's photos is like having a brand new pair of eyes. I've never seen frost or plants or birds captured the way she does it. There's a tender honesty, a fresh and total lack of pretense in her creations...no grasping, no trying, just being, sharing images as she sees them. I think this is why Shery… Read more

This woman is an Artist. She does things with her camera that are uniquely beautiful, poetic, deeply and sometimes painfully intense. Long ago I told her she painted images with her camera, and she truly does. Her photography moves the soul; reaches down into you and pulls up raw feeling. Sometimes you might cry. Other times you will laugh. If you spend time with her images one thing is certain...your heart will grow bigger.

Sheryl's photography is like poetry; sometimes haiku, sometimes a sonnet, and sometimes a free form. What I really get out of it is joy, it's contagious. One one enjoys what ones does, it alwyas is. It's that simple.

Looking at her photos yields that same feeling that washes over you upon seeing your very favorite works of art at the Metropolitan Museum...beautifully composed slices of life. Thank you for sharing your gift, She.

WaveOfModulation originally motivated me to start taking pictures that were capable of moving myself and others. Every time I look at her pictures, I am motivated to see the world the way she sees it. WaveOfModulation is a natural. Her gift is amazing, and I'm pleased to be exposed to it every day.

From Wave of Modulation, I am learning how to see in new ways. She has the ability to let things be exactly the way they are, but to present them in a unique light or perspective. And I could not ask for a more supportive friend in my creative endeavors. Thank you, WOM, here's to many more years.

Viewing WOM's photos has changed the way I see the world in a big way. Seeing things through her eyes via her photos has encouraged me to take photos that I may have never taken before. Some of my best shots were taken just after saying "WOM would shoot that." (She's even making me like cats.)
