2007:

Hello,

My name is Waseef Akhtar. I'm 14, Male. I'm from Peshawar, Pakistan, but live in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Well, I'm really interested in Photography, and want to share it with you. All my Photos are taken with Sony DSC-S650.

 

2008:

Well turned 15, And now, the interest is slightly changing to passion, bought a D-SLR, Canon EOS 400D / Rebel XTi and planning many things this year. Just Keep an Eye!

2009:

I'm free lance photographer based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia working with a few companies as a part time photographer (working mainly in my home-studio), besides that I'm an o' level student.

 

Photography has always been a passion of mine and I aim to pursue it until I have pushed the boundries of my ability. I've been interested in photography for many years but only took my hobby on seriously over the past two years. I'm constantly trying to improve and evolve as a photographer so if you have any comments about my work drop me a line on my contact page. 2010:

To be more informal this year for flickr, it's 1st Jan now and the time to update my profile.

 

First of all, thanks to the YShah who invited me here to flickr town. I'm learning with every moment of my life now. that's true. Well, wanted to try 365 project this year.. But as my life's already planned :).. let's wait a year or two more..

 

Lastly, as impossibly I wondered how/when am I gonna buy my first D-SLR and it was in my hand the moment after.. how about wondering of all those flashes and lenses?? Let's see if there's a good luck this year. Keep an eye!

2011:

To open up with the three big achievements from last year, for me, I guess. I have finally won a contest in my life, finally exhibited my work in an exhibition and finally one of my flickr image was invited to the Getty Images collection. Started with microstock back in May and speaking for myself, having only six months experience, there's one reason that I really find apealing; the whole process of submitting images to microstock sites has raised the quality of my images. I think I had quite a bunch of nice images, but many did not turn out to be good enough for microstock. There were artifacts, wrong sharpening, these kinds of things that you often do not even see in the first instance. I still make mistake, and want to make some more, as that's what makes people learn.

 

Secondly, upgraded my Photogear back in June? I guess, with a Yongnuo 460II Speedlite and then again in October with a Canon 50mm f1.8. Had a visit to Pakistan in November, so again got some nice outdoor shots from there. So here's what I had for you this year. 2010 was quick and better than any other year.

 

Finally, looking forward to some new memories, new mistakes, new friends, new chances, new me, new year. Wish me luck! :)

 

And that's how Flickr changed my life. :)
