I'm a very keen amateur who got his first DSLR in May 2007.

Since then, photography has become something of an obsession.

I aspire to taking good landscape pictures of places in North Wales and Cheshire that don't get photographed that much.

I started off with a Nikon D40 which was a great introduction to working with a DSLR. I'm the proud owner of a Nikon D300 now, which I'm enjoying greatly!

I'm [half] joking.

My lenses are: Nikon 17 - 55mm 2.8, Nikon 50mm 1.8, Nikon 18 - 200mm, Sigma 105mm macro & the Sigma 10-20mm.

All post production is now done in CS3 with image management in Aperture.

That should keep me busy.

I'm going to take my time to enjoy learning what is possible and -- hopefully -- end up in some interesting places, having met some interesting people, as part of the process.
