My photos are primarily taken for Google Earth, so there are many photos of the same mountains taken from different angles and positions. I tend to find the geolocation of a photo as interesting as the image itself.

I don't consider myself to be a photographer, but I do love taking pictures. I live in Victoria BC, which is on Vancouver Island off the coast of western Canada. I enjoy walking, hiking, and travelling around the area, and I try to capture glimpses of how special this place is.

My oldest photos were taken with a Canon Elan 7, my newer photos are either from a Sony DSC-W50 (pocket) or Canon 10D (SLR). I replaced the Sony with a Canon D10, a "pocket" waterproof, which was replaced by a cheap-o Nikon waterproof. Lately I've gone back to hauling around a DSLR: Rebel T5i usually with a kit 18-135. I can't be bothered to carry a tripod, so most photos are whatever aperture I can get at a reasonable hand-held shutter speed.
