I've just been given a Fuji Finepix s8000fd for Christmas (2008) and am trying to get to grips with it!

I've got no previous experience of photography, but am really enjoying it so far! I'm learning a lot just by being on Flickr - seeing what other people are taking photos of and how they set up great shots.

I'd really appreciate any comments - good or bad, as it all helps in the long run.

At the moment I'm enjoying taking loads of random photos of pretty much anything. Playing around with the ISO, aperture and shutter speeds means a lot of these photos are pretty rubbish, but some of the come out okay! I also need to stop being such an embarrassed wuss and learn to take photos outdoors without worrying what people are thinking. I think the more you go out and do it, the easier it gets.

I'm also enjoying the whole Photoshop editing thing too. Although I feel I sometimes do too much editing, but it's a little addictive!

Anyway, so that's about it - again, any comments or suggestions would be really great.
