I have led a very nomadic life - moving from one city to another every few years. It all started in Vevey, Switzerland - where I was born, the same year that Elvis charted his first big hit "Heartbreak Hotel." I write about music for a living.

Of course my other passion is photography, followed closely by other forms of visual art like drawing and graphic design. I even took a stab at web design some years ago, but didn't stick with it.

Although it's great to have a home base, it's also a wonderful privilege to travel to places far and wide. Even places not so far and not so wide. Something as mundane as a daily dog-walk can lead to great photo ops. You just have to keep your eyes and mind open.

Every time I look around Flickr, I'm constantly amazed by the level of creativity and imagination. 100 people could take a picture of the same object/place and see it in 100 different ways.
