I have been wanting to write Jerry a testimonial but i felt a bit shy to do so , which is strange because next to his highly intelligence, his very special art and his great sense of humor he is also a very kind man. He knows just how to hit you right between the eyes so that it is such a pleasure to look , and to keep on looking. A real artist's artist but accessible to all.

The fluency of J.W.'s drawing is matched by the wit of his composition and subject matter. He has the discernment to seize the articulate moment, that second in time when visual elements coalesce and pronounce a theme, however unnameable. There are both vibrancy and signs of "real life" in the intimate subjects he often chooses. His beautifully constructed cityscapes are unmatched among the Flickr galleries I have seen. Jerry Waese is a witty, wise and mature artist. Best of all, he has something to say and says it with swift and sure marks on paper. I often visit here just to learn something new about line, part of an artist's education that needs constant tutoring. Jerry possesses a very educated line from which to learn. --NCM

Jerry is a very good painter, a better teacher, and an even better cheerleader. But most of all he is a mensch.

His artwork is like nothing I've ever seen before. He seems to be getting better and better! I wish I could tell you more, but you really have to see for yourself. He's great!
