I have a lot of contradictory likes and dislikes (more likes) when it comes to fabric and quilting. I don't really care for the Civil War prints in general, but some of them are awesome and play nicely with more modern fabrics. I truly adore traditional blocks made with modern fabrics. Right now I'm loving curved piecing, EPP, kaleidoscope blocks, reverse appliqué and traditional appliqué. I am not generally a fan of black as a background, and neon and rainbow colours don't usually strike a spark with me. I say usually, but naturally I have seen instances of these that knock my socks off. Typically, I prefer good contrast in my quilts, and I am not a huge fan of wonky. I won't specify a colour range, since I love all colours. Yes to text prints, maps, no to food prints, novelty prints, kids prints. I feel like I am being very directive, but really I am very relaxed and easy to please. Bottom line: make something you love for yourself and I'm sure I will love it, too!
