Photographs may be mute, but sometimes the silence speaks out even louder because it makes you stop and pay attention, look, see, observe and then imagine. I discovered flickr when a friend refered me to a nice photo taken in NY by automatt. Within a week, I signed up for a free account, and two months later, I have a pro account. Now I just want to go out and take pictures. I guess I caught the flickr bug too.

I have always had a love for art and photography despite being more of a technical/scientific geek. While I am an amateur and currently am using a Canon Powershot S400 Digital Elph, it has not stopped me from looking at the world from new perspectives through the camera lens and capturing them on "film". I love the creativity, ingenuity and beauty of the works that I have had the pleasure of stumbling upon on this site. I have added these wonderfully gifted people with an amazing eye to my contact list. I hope to meet some great people and make some new friends here.

The beauty I encountered on flickr certainly brings hope. Hope for what exactly, I do not know yet but I shall remain optimistic.
