I'm a freelance music photographer from the city of Nijmegen (Netherlands). Photography has always been one of the most important things in my life since I bought my first camera at age 18, second only to making music playing guitar, drums and bass guitar (and a bit of keyboard). I started out making concert photos in the early eighties, but after a while building a home and starting a family took priority over this hobby, so most of my photography revolved around documenting vacations, special moments, family outings, trips, etc. This all changed after a painful divorce late 2007.

I began picking up my old hobby and started taking my (now) digital camera to the occasional concert. In 2012 I secretly photographed a filmed performance by American progressive rock 'supergroup' Flying Colors at venue 013 in Tilburg (Netherlands), posted them on my Facebook page and tagged the band. Shortly after their management contacted me about those photos and about a year later Flying Colors' live-album Live In Europe (2013) was released with one of my photos in its artwork. With this publication to my name I was able to officially photograph more bands. In 2015 I joined the photocrew of venue Doornroosje in Nijmegen and in 2019 I started photographing for ZwareMetalen.com. Since my first publication several other live-albums from Flying Colors and two albums from Don Airey have featured my photos on the cover and in the artwork.
