Well this is it. At a certain point this year I will reach the stage where rounding dictates that I am closer to the century mark than zero. Since I logically don’t expect to actually see 100, I am forced to admit that I have already crossed the crest of the hill. I can still see the top, I just have to look back over my shoulder to do so. I have repeatedly heard the quote “You’re only as old as you feel”, well in that case I died the middle of last year. (…which would go a long way in explaining the smell)
I had a lot more stuff in process that I wanted to post, but having lost two hard drives in the past 6 months has caused a significant amount of data loss. The film work can be rescanned, but the digital work was a total loss because I not only lost the internal hard drive that was the primary store, but the external hard drive that was the backup. No excuses, I have a burner, I just wasn’t making additional backups.
I do manage to remember to bring one of the cameras with on some of weekend motorcycle trips, but out here on the East Cost (sic) of the US, it has been rather wet. We may still ride in this weather, but we have not been pulling out cameras. Even if you don’t mess up the digital in the weather, you don’t get very much in the way of pictures.
Ah well, enough boring details… on with the show.
