A software engineer originally from Finland, I have been dabbling in photography for quite a long time now. I have tried to find my style along the way, and at least for the moment I'm mostly concentrating in city/landscape, particularly man-made structures in contrast to and weathered by the nature.

Turning points in my photography path so far:

1999 Casual snapshots

- First digital camera (Sony MVC-FD83, MVC-FD95)

2003 Wannabe pro

- Getting more serious, wanted a "real" camera, switching over to DSLR (Canon EOS 10D, EOS-1D Mark II, EOS 5D Mark II)

- Events, portraits, etc. for friends and relatives; small-scale stock photography

2010 Back to snapshots

- Quality pocket camera to carry less, added mirrorless m43 (Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1, DMC-GX7)

- Married with children

2015 Colors and moods

- Inspired by Yuhiro Nagashige and others, switched to Fujifilm X (Fujifilm X-E2, X-T2, X-Pro2, X-T4)

- Old manual lenses (Canon FD)

- Attended a photography class/workshop, with a small exhibition at the end

2017 Black and white

- Wanting to understand black and white better, got an X100F for the ongoing Daily B/W project

2022 Interest in fine art photography

- Inspired by Toshio Shibata after visiting an exhibition, got into medium format GFX (Fujifilm GFX-100S, GFX-100S II)
