Hi, my name is David Parker and welcome to my photography page on flickr.

I have been a keen photographer for the past few years, inspired to learn the craft since the birth of my daughter. Aside from the family pictures, this site is an outlet for my creative side when it comes to photography.

I am lucky to live in a very photogenic and historic place, Suffolk, UK. The majority of my images are the ones taken on my doorstep. Some others are from holidays and days out. I also like to get scientific with my creative captures and get some wacky and fascinating images. I also quite like to photograph nature and animals, either pets, in captivity, or wild.

Equipment wise, I am now on my eighth camera, the Canon 70D DSLR. I also use a Panasonic GH2 m4/3 camera. For both I have a range of lenses and for the Canon I have the top end speed light flash. I have studied photography formally at evening classes, and informally just for fun. I always say great photography is partly luck. But with the right equipment and the right knowledge, you become a lot luckier. Scoping locations on google earth, using apps to find out the weather, tide, sun, moon phase or stars to get that perfect shot, is all part of the fun!
