About Me

Thanks for coming by to check out my photostream!

Photography has become one of my favorite hobbies, as I find it to be a great medium for creative expression. It's also been great in that this hobby has allowed me to escape from the stressful 9-to-5 world. I dabbled in some film photography and darkroom work back in a college photography club, so I find the transition to digital to be pretty natural, especially since I've always been a geek at heart ;)

The Nikon D50 is my first DSLR. It's been a great tool, offering me a lot of flexibility and has a lot of capabilities that I probably won't get to fully exploit. It's so tempting to get caught-up into buying the latest and greatest gear, but I've basically told myself that until I can really stretch the limits of my photographic skills, I'll just have to make do with the basic gear I do have.

I'm particularly interested in portraitature and street photography.

Well, now that I have my basic gear, I hope to snap lots and share lots.
