In the long run I wish to setup and run my own image server from home. Why?

1) I've got in the range of 6 digits worth of images of varying genres and types to share out.

2) It is easier to upload and manage

3) Well there is misc. reasons too ;)

4) Also, I have the technical background.

In the long run I decided on Coppermine to do it.

I am not knocking Flickr mind you. Personally I feel it is one of the better image sharing sites. I have been using it since the later half of 2006.

Additionally, unless specifically noted on the photo comments I didn't make these images. I note it here because I do not wish to imply or deceive anyone on that point.

I'm a collector and now starting to be a distributor. :)
